Horses who have been trained without a strong foundation, abused, or trained incorrectly can benefit strongly from work on the lunge to help reverse the physical, mental and emotional blocks that can show up under saddle. In this demonstration you can see a 15 year old Hanoverian mare who has not been worked consistently in several years, has an incomplete foundation in her training, anxiety and physical blocks.

Young horses often present a plethora of issues when first being worked on the lunge. This demonstration shows some of the expectations put on young horses in their first session on the lunge, as well as dealing with small issues and preventing larger ones. Horse being worked is a 4 year old Dutch Warmblood x Bashkir Curly gelding with minimal training and no previous experience on the lunge.
